Building on the success of its laser systems, LASER CHEVAL has been willing to respond to the more and more frequent desire of its customers (especially in the field of jewelry or watch-making) to have a solution to get a neat finish for their products, and avoiding any mending operation after laser engraving.
In association with a partner offering solutions of robotic polishing, LASER CHEVAL designed a machine combining laser engraving and polishing, with an automatic loading and the manipulation of the parts with the robot. This machine, the LEM Palladium, is built around a cell including mainly a laser marking unit LEM (power of 10 W to 50 W), a supply system of parts by trays, a handling robot and a polishing system.

Depending on the application, additional features (eg ultrasonic cleaning, drying, quality control by vision etc ...) can be added into the cell, or multiple cells can be coupled together. This machine is fully scalable. The power system may be equipped with a system for reading bar code allowing for example to determine the process to be applied to the parts contained in each tank.

Three brands of robot can be integrated according to the customer's request (STAUBLI, FANUC or YASKAWA). The gripping system is adapted according to the type of parts to be handled. The polishing system is determined according to the application. Different types of brushes are possible, the rotational speed may be adjustable, the polishing slurry can be supplied automatically.
